Style Guide for the Summer

Summer is coming up and I have some cute styles for you!
*I apologize for the poor photo editing. I'm still new to this haha*
Surfer:
Of course the first thing that comes to mind when you think of summer is the beach and hot surfer boys! So for this summer style, try to dress like a cute surfer local.

Safari:
I just LOVE the whole safari look! Everything from the print to the colors. The safari style is totally in style this season.

Prairie:
Prairie is a cute innocent look that
anyone can pull off. The prairie style consists of floral, denim, and pinks.

Preppy:
Just because you dont belong to a country club doesnt mean you cant look like it! The preppy look can make anyone seem classy and sophisticated.

Bag Must Haves for Spring

Even though summer is coming around the corner I just wanted to write one last blog post (maybe the last idk) on spring fashion. So this next post is going to be all about the cutest bags this season. Not only will I tell you about cute bags, but I'm going to tell you how you can coordinate your whole outfit to these adorable bags! Well lets get started :D

Printed Clutch
These printed clutches can be from animal print to flower print. Prints are so hot this season (especially flowers) so why not accessorize with a cute printed clutch! Since the clutch is already so busy, you really want to make it pop by wearing something simple. Just a classic v-neck and a pair of skinny jeans and your clutch and you are ready to go!

Long Strapped Satchel
You can never go wrong with a little satchel! Satchels are so tiny and adorable and totally in style (like Alan from The Hangover "It's a satchel, Indiana Jones wears one" haha I love that movie). Since satchels are very bohemian they go great with a sundress, sunglasses, and gladiator sandals.

Hobos
No I dont mean a homeless person...this is a fashion blog silly :P But hobo purses are
casual but you can totally dress them up. The can go from wearing a cute low key tank top and skirt for a girly causal look. Or for a more glam look u can wear it with some pumps, skinny jeans, and a leather jacket for night time partying.

Cross Body Pouch
These are perfect when you are on the go and you need something to hold your money and lip gloss. Personally I love them just tiny and cute but dont forget practical. Who wouldnt want to quickly throw on a little side pouch and already have all the necessities in it with out having to worry about a giant purse?! These purses are so versatile that you can pair it with anything!

Drawstring Bucket Bag
Ok this is a definite must on my shopping list! I think these are so adorable and I just love the whole concept and overall look. Again this is another purse thats very bohemian so it can be very casual. Ways you can wear it is with a nice long maxi dress or a blouse with big wide leg trousers.

Edgy Tote
All totes are cute in general but they would be even more cute with edgy zippers and studs all over. Just by adding a couple zippers here and there on your purse can totally transform it from girly to edgy. For this purse, a classic edgy rocker look would go great! You can just wear some dark skinny jeans and leather jacket.

Harajuku Girls

The girls of Harajuku! Most people are familiar with Gwen Stefani's harajuku girls Love, Angle, Music, Baby (i met them by the way, and it was so cool!). Harajuku originated in Tokyo, Japan in the area of Harajuku. In Tokyo there is a street called Harajuku where teens of Japan hang out and dress up. In the fashion of Harajuku, there are many different styles and i'm here to tell you all about them :)

Kawaii:
The style of Kawaii is all about being cute and innocent. Kawaii became popular in the 90's. The idea of this style is to prove a point of the difference of the traditional style of the Japanese and the new wave of youth style. To describe the style, girls will wear frilly skirts, bright girly colors, a lot of accessories (necklaces, bracelets, bonnets, purses).

Lolita:
Lolita is another style of harajuku and it was created in Osaka. This style is victorian. The main concept of this is feeling and looking cute and innocent. With the outfits for this style, they like to wear really lacy and frilly skirts. They also usually carry around little frilly parasails.
Ganguro:
Personally Ganguro Harajuku girls are my favorite because I find them so different and probably because im a Cali girl :) The style of
Ganguro are teens from Japan trying to look like overly sun tanned, bleach blond girls from a tropical getaway. The outfit consists of fake tans, white makeup around the eyes (sunglass tan), bright flowered leis, and summer dresses.
Cosplay:
Cosplay is when teens dress up as their favorite or most popular manga/anime character. Some people will actually get there hair cut/died, or anything to look just like the character.

Ura-Hara:
This style of Harajuku is all about hip hop hipster style. Ura-Hara isnt a very popular style of Harajuku, its more reserved and hidden from the other variety of styles. In this style you would wear hats and a lot of layers.
Visual Kei:
Visual Kei means 'visual style of music'. For this style, people will dress up like their favorite bands or singers. Usually it is dark and gothic.

Hope you guys got to know a little more about Harajuku girls and their style :)
p.s. can u believe that they put on all these outfits and makeup everyday?!

50's Makeup Tutorial

Yeah yeah yeah i know that this is a fashion blog but i really felt like doing a blog update about makeup. Another thing that i love is makeup! I was thinking that i could write about how to do 50's makeup. I love how sophisticated and simple the 50's were. This makeup is simple and any one can pull this look off.
1. Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize! Before
you put on any makeup it is always a good idea to put on moisturizer because it helps the makeup go on smoother.
2. After the moisturizer, you apply your concealer over dark circles or unwant
ed blemishes. This is optional but after you can use a lighter concealer and put it in the highlight points of your face(check bones, forehead, nose,
chin) to make your face look three-dimensional.
3. Next you want to apply yo
ur foundation with a makeup sponge and start from the nose to the ear in soft motions.
4.To hold the concealer and foundation in place, use a powder brush
to sweep the loose powder(i suggest mineral powder) across your face.
5. Next you should use a grey brown natural flesh tone blush to conture your face. Apply along the cheekbones and jawline. If you have a wide nose the you can conture on the sides of your nose to make it look thinner. Or if you have a wide forehead you can shade in the blush by your temples to make it look thinner.
6. After apply a matte berry pink blush on the apples of your cheeks.
7. Next you want to highlight the eyebrow. By highlighting these areas, they act as a reinforcement and a lift to the face.peak of you cheeks and the highest point of your eyelids(right next to the eyebrow).
8. After apply a primer to the eyelid. Use a vanilla or shimmery white colored primer.
9. Next take a light natural brown eyeshadow and apply it in the crease of the eye. Make sure the color is matte.
10. After apply the
same matte brown on the lower lash line to act as an eyeliner. Make sure to soften and blend the color as much as possible. You want it to be soft and subtle.
11. Next choose your fake lashes of choice and apply them as close as u can to your lash line. For this look i suggest thin flare lashes that and an elegant touch to this look.
12. With black liquid liner create a nice smooth line. Make sure to get the eyeliner as close to your lash line as possible. This blends your real lashes with your fake ones.
13. With your mascara of choice apply it to your lashes, real and fake. This will also blend the lashes together to make them look real.
14.On your waterline apply a white eyeliner. This will open up your eyes and make them more wide.
15. Line your lips with a pure red(if red is to bold for you, use a pink alternative). Then fill in the lip with the lipliner.
16. Use a red lipstick to apply on top of the lipliner.
17. Next for the finishing touch apply a clear lipgloss on the top of the lipstick for a nice glossy finish.

I hope you guys like this tutorial and if you like them ask me to do some more :D
